Kiri-CocoNuts
Kiri-CocoNuts exports locally-made toddy syrup to the international market. Toddy cutting is a traditional skill for the I-Kiribati dominated by men that provides the main dietary staple for the locals and the syrup is made from long-boiled fresh coconut toddy. With my green business, I am trying to create a market niche for toddy syrup to export to foreign countries. When a big market exists, it can help maintain and preserve this tradition for generations to come.
