In the Pacific, the 2018 Greenpreneurs ‘Jumpstart your business’ program delivered multiple in-person workshops and networking events in Fiji, Kiribati, and Vanuatu, where participants learned about existing local green businesses, developed and practiced entrepreneurship skills, and worked with peers and mentors to refine their business models. Under the framework of the project and with support from the Pacific NDC Hub, Pacific Green Business Center (PGBC), and Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF), GGGI developed Guides to Green Entrepreneurship for these 3 countries, outlining the processes for setting up a business in these countries, as well as ongoing company and employers’ obligations[1].   Through this program, GGGI also put in place a virtual networking platform to facilitate connections and information exchange across participants from the three countries. GGGI also partnered with Fiji’s Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism (MCTTT) to deliver training on sustainability in business to a broader audience of young entrepreneurs as part Fiji’s Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme.
